How are event photos used after the event?
Event photos keep working long after the guests leave. Brands use them for press releases, social media, sponsor reports and next year’s promotion. For that reason, I plan every shoot around how the images will be used afterwards.
What does that mean on the day?
First, I agree the shot list with you before the event. Then I photograph the moments your teams will need later:
- Brand visibility: logos, stage branding and sponsor placements, captured clearly.
- Key people: speakers, VIPs and executives, in both candid and posed shots.
- Atmosphere: crowd energy, venue details and the scale of the setup.
- Formats for each channel: landscape frames for websites and press, plus vertical frames for Instagram and Stories.
Why does this approach matter?
A beautiful photo that no one can use has little value. In contrast, a planned set gives your PR, marketing and sponsorship teams images ready to publish. As a result, one event produces content for months.

What events does an event photographer in Dubai cover?
Christophe Viseux covers five main types of events in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and across the UAE. Each one needs a different approach. Coverage is therefore planned around what the images must do after the event.
Corporate galas and award ceremonies
Coverage includes stage moments, award handovers and table atmosphere. In addition, sponsor logos are captured clearly, because the post-event report depends on them.
Brand activations and pop-ups
Retail and experiential activations need images that work on social media and in campaigns. For this reason, the brand becomes part of the composition, instead of something to shoot around.
Product launches and press events
Press-ready selects arrive within 24 hours. As a result, PR teams can share images while the announcement is still news.
Private and luxury events
High-profile guests expect discretion. Coverage therefore stays quiet, non-intrusive and fully confidential.
Red carpet and arrivals
Arrivals move fast, often under difficult mixed lighting. Even so, the goal is a usable frame of every guest, not a handful of lucky shots.
Which events have their own dedicated pages?
Some assignments go beyond general event work, so they have dedicated pages:
- Conference and summit photography: multi-day, conferences, forums and international; summits with parallel; sessions.
- Production photography: large-scale productions, national celebrations, festivals, live music and performances.
Why does venue knowledge matter for event photography in Dubai?
Every Dubai venue has its own lighting and layout. Knowing them in advance means the first thirty minutes go into shooting, not problem-solving.
- Hotel ballrooms on Sheikh Zayed Road: warm tungsten often mixes with coloured stage lights. This needs handling in-camera, not fixing later in editing.
- Museum of the Future and other architectural venues: the building is part of the story. Wide establishing shots capture it, yet most coverage misses them.
- Outdoor activations:the light changes a lot between the run-through and guest arrival. Consequently, the shot plan follows the sun as closely as the schedule.
In short, venue knowledge decides how the first half hour of the event goes.
How fast are event photos delivered?
Press selects arrive within 24 hours when a PR deadline applies. The full gallery then follows within a few working days.
- Press selects in 24 hours: colour-corrected and ready to share.
- Full edited gallery: web and print-ready formats, within a few working days.
- Licensing in writing: agreed before the shoot, so nothing is unclear if a campaign grows.
- Multi-photographer crews: available when an event runs parallel sessions or spans several spaces.
